Hi I'm Leslie

I am the ninth of ten children, an interior design student, and soon to be missionary in Japan. I am a Mormon.

About Me

My parents have both been members of the church for a long time: my dad for his whole life, and my mom was baptized at 9 years old. I've grown up in the church and have a testimony of its truthfulness. I learned the importance and joy of being athletically involved. My favorite sport has always been soccer, and that's what I decided to pursue. I planned on playing in college and had dreams of playing on the United States Women's Team. My plans soon changed when I tore my ACL just before I was hoping to be recruited. It was so hard, but that experience has lead me to where I am today. I would have never considered going to school for Interior Design; especially at LDS Business College. After one semester I felt like I needed to serve a mission. Now I have my call, and I am so grateful for how my life has worked out even with the trials that I have had.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I was born in the church, but it's become more than that. I have watched friends and family fall away into the world, but I have a testimony that the gospel is the one and only way we can have joy in this life. I know that I can't find love, peace, or happiness like I have anywhere else. I have a strong desire to return to my Father in Heaven and to bring as many people as I possibly can with me. The Book of Mormon is true, our prophet and leaders are called by God, Joseph Smith Restored the Gospel of Jesus Christ upon this earth. This is the true church! I am a Mormon! I know it. I live it. I love it!

How I live my faith

I have never had an "adult" calling yet. I served in the Beehive, Mia-maid, and Laurels presidencies. I learned a lot from being in those positions. I have learned to live my faith by participating in activities. Service has become a huge part of my life. I learned how to love all the young women in my ward and truly care for them. My calling right now is to be a full-time missionary. I know that I will learn so much from serving in the mission field. I am excited to participate in this great work.
