Hi I'm Gayle

I grew up in Oregon. I am Dental Assistant. I worked for the Army. I married a Marine. Now I'm a wife, mother and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was born and raised in the LDS Church, and I always knew it was true but it wasn't till my parents separated when I was 13 that my faith and strength in the gospel was shaken. But i had a great support system of friends in High School that I grew from. After high school I went to many different colleges in Utah and Idaho and finally got my degree as a dental assistant. I moved to Georgia to be with my family who was military and had the opportunity to work for the Army. I loved meeting so many different people and cultures, most of the time I was the first Mormon people had ever met. My family was transferred to North Carolina where I met my husband, a Marine, who was getting out of the service soon to go to school. Now we've been married almost 3 years, he's a full time student and I'm a full time stay at home mom to our 1 year old son.

Why I am a Mormon

I have never had a time in my life where the Gospel wasn't a part of me, part of my life. But there have been times when I was not as strong in the gospel, and during those times I really learned for my self what this gospel means to me. During those darker times I felt lost and alone, but I knew my Heavenly Father would always be waiting for me to reach out to him and He would comfort and lift me up. I feel my Savior's love for me, I know I am important to Him, that He died for me, so that I can return to Him. Also through Him I receive the blessings of an eternal family, which is a gift worth more to me than anything in this World. I know where ever I go in this World that I will have a Church to go worship, make friends, and have a support system. That's the beauty of this gospel and our Church, it's true no matter where you are, or where you go. I'm grateful to be a Mormon, and have this gospel in my life, the teachings of Christ help me get through the daily struggles of life, help me to be a kinder, more loving a patient wife and mother, and give me an eternal perspective when I sometimes can't see two steps in front of me.

How I live my faith

When my husband were married, we were sealed for not only time here on Earth but for Eternity in the Temple. We believe that men with the proper authority can seal families together for not only here on Earth but even after death. Because I have made those promises with my Heavenly Father I want to live my life in accordance with His commandments to that one day I can return to my Heavenly Father and be with my family forever. So I attend Church regularly, serve my church calling where I teach the 3 year olds, which is a lot of fun! I read and study my scriptures daily, I pray to my Heavenly Father when I have questions, need comfort, or to thank Him for my blessings. I serve others in my Church and others in our community by visiting them and helping them in any need they may have. By serving others I know I am serving the Lord.
