Hi I'm Pamela Hart

I grew up in Idaho Falls, Idaho. I am a registered nurse. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I have been married for 47 years. I am the mother of five boys. All of our sons are now married with families of their own. We have 12 wonderful grandchildren. I have been a nurse since I graduated from nursing school at age 19. I have a masters degree in nursing and taught nursing until I retired in 1008. I love to quilt and have created many quilts for friends and relatives. I love going to my grandchildren's games, performances, and activities.

Why I am a Mormon

I have chosen to be a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints because I have studied and prayed sincerely to know the truth and have a personal testimony that this is Christ's church. I believe that it provides the way to happiness in this life and in the life to come. More than anything, I want to be with my family in eternity, and this Gospel provides a way for that to happen. I have made sacred covenants to keep the commandments of my Father in Heaven and continue to try to do so. I know that I have a Heavenly Father who loves me and that Jesus is the Christ and has atoned for our sins. I am so grateful for this knowledge. This belief has sustained me through many difficult times in my life. What a marvelous time to be on the earth and to have the guidance of a prophet of God to help us. I love this gospel and the great blessings it has brought and continues to bring into my life.

How I live my faith

I have been an active member of my faith my entire life. Since I only had boys, I have particularly enjoyed my callings and activities with the young women and older women in our church. I currently teach a Sunday School class to members in our ward. I love learning more about the scriptures each time I teach.

What is the Atonement of Jesus Christ? Why was it necessary for Jesus Christ to sacrifice His life?

Pamela Hart
Adam fell from the presence of God in the Garden of Eden. As a result, the human family came to be. He became mortal and all his descendants became mortal. As mortals, we are subject to temptation and we make mistakes. We cannot live with our Heavenly Father until we are free from all sin and are made perfect. Only through the Savior's atonement for our sins can we ever be made perfect. If we live His commandments, repent of our sins, and believe in the Savior, His great atoning sacrifice can bring us back to Him and to our Heavenly Father. Show more Show less

What are Mormon temples used for?

Pamela Hart
The temples are beautiful and wonderful places where we make sacred promises to live good lives and to believe in the Savior. There we are able to receive sacred ordinances that bind us together as families. We are also able to provide these same ordinances for those who have died without the opportunity to do so for themselves. Show more Show less
