Hi I'm Sophie

I play classical guitar. I love to make concoctions in the kitchen. I love patterns and prints. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Hello! My name is Sophie :) I'm a classical guitarist just living the dream - I've been attending graduate school in Boston, getting my Masters in Music, and having a great time! I love to play guitar (my guitar's name is Rodrigo Cervantes Montoya), bake anything and everything, read all sorts of action or fantasy books, go on midnight walks, workout while watching Get Smart (an old TV series - you should check it out!) or an action movie, and shop for magical finds (whether it's at the dollar store or at Anthropologie).

Why I am a Mormon

I know that I have a loving Heavenly Father, a kind, older brother named Jesus Christ, and a companion in the Holy Ghost. I believe that Joseph Smith restored the Gospel of Jesus Christ back to the earth after a time of blackness and insecurity, when God's Priesthood was taken off the earth. I believe the Book of Mormon to be true evidence of the word of God, through ancient prophets called by God to do his work and ministry. I believe that, through the Atonement of Jesus Christ, all men and women can be saved, and that we can live with our families forever with God if we choose the good things in life. I love the Gospel of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. I love Heavenly Father. I'm a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I've just been called to serve an LDS (Mormon) mission in Barcelona, Spain! I'm so excited to meet the beautiful people of Spain, to serve both them and my Heavenly Father, and to learn the Spanish language, customs, and culture (which will be of great benefit to me, seeing that Spanish guitar is very prominent in Spain and I happen to play it!)
