Hi I'm Adam Alcantar

I've lived in Nashville my whole life. I'm an Eagle Scout. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in a family raised in the church as the middle child in my home with multiple sisters and no brothers. I recently graduated high school at an art magnet school and started college. I have played the violin since I was six. I enjoy science, especially chemistry, and learning and understanding different cultures and viewing things in a different perspective than beforehand. I'm about to leave for my mission to the Mexico Mexico City East mission in March 2016. I plan on returning to school when I return. I hope to please Heavenly Father in my service for the next two years.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I cannot imagine my life without the love I have been given in my family, my church, and in my diligence in studying to know my Heavenly Father. I know that the Book of Mormon is the word of God and that by searching and following the scriptures, we can all become more like Christ each and every day.

How I live my faith

I attend the Young Single Adult Branch in Nashville and regularly help out when I can. I search to understand Heavenly Father's plan by striving to study the scriptures daily. I want to teach others about the love and strength that the Gospel of Jesus Christ has provided in my life. I want to serve the Lord in the greatest capacity that I can. Even though I am far from being perfect in any capacity, I try to do the best I can, and when I fail, I get up, brush myself off, learn from my past mistakes, and try again to do what God wants of me.
