Hi I'm Brynlee Fehrenbacker

I am the oldest of six children and a health science major. I love trying new food. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I am currently a student, and my major is in health science. I love learning and reading. My family and I love to go see movies together. One of my favorite things to do is go on drives around the country. Board games and ping pong are also things that I really like to do. I also like baking and experiencing food from other cultures.

Why I am a Mormon

I have grown up in a family where we had always gone to church and been active in the gospel. However, as I have gotten older, I have made the choice to continue living the standards of the church. One of the main reasons is the peace that I receive from the Holy Ghost as I live the gospel. No where else do I receive the grace and compassion of the Savior. I know He loves me, and by following Him and going to church I am able to receive that peace. Another reason is that the gospel allows me to have a happy family. My parents were married in the temple, and it has made all the difference. We can live together in heaven if we are worthy because my parents made that decision. I want to have those same blessings as well, and by living this gospel I am able to do that. I know that my Heavenly Father loves me, and I know that He loves you, too. Our Savior, Jesus Christ, suffered for our sins and pains. He knows you like no one else does. Our Savior has also appointed living prophets over the earth to teach and preach unto us. We can hear their voices and draw nearer to Him. I know that these men contain the authority to do so. I know that Joseph Smith was a prophet of God, and that the Book of Mormon that was translated is the word of God. My life is greatly enhanced because of the gospel. Mortality is not perfect. But because of the knowledge and power we have, we can be made whole. I love my Savior and Father. I want to make the gospel the number one priority in my life.

How I live my faith

When I was in my last semester of college, I was a teacher for a class during church on Sunday. Since then, I have been able to substitute for other teachers and teach children for a little bit. I have been trying to make service more of a priority in my life, lately. Mostly I try to be aware of other people. I have been surprised by how much a little gesture can make a big difference in someone's life. I think smiling and being a friend to someone can be an act of service!

Why is family so important to Mormons?

Brynlee Fehrenbacker
Our families are what make it so that we can become more like our Heavenly Father! Not only do we need to be married to enter God's kingdom, but being in a family teaches us valuable skills and lessons that are needed in order to become like God. For example, we can learn patience, service, true love, and forgiveness. Families also bring us much peace and joy. Our families can become some of our closest friends. Show more Show less
