Hi I'm Mark

I grew up in California. I joined the church at 19. I am the only member in my family. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I am a husband and a dad. I have 3 children, two boys and one girl. I have 1 grandson. I worked for UPS as a driver for 34 years. I am now retired and enjoy my family and time spent riding and driving my horse. I will soon serve a mission with my favorite companion.

Why I am a Mormon

The thing that got me interested in the Mormon church was the principal of eternal marriage. I grew up in a church where marriage was "until death do you part" or "as long as you both shall live". How could our Heavenly Father create such a thing? It made no sense to me. I could not conceive of a heaven where I was alone without my wife, friend, and companion. This church is the only church on the earth with the authority to marry couples for all eternity. I have been a member of this church now for almost 40 years and I've never looked back. I love the gospel of Jesus Christ. My only regret is that I am the only member of my original family. My wife and family are sealed to me for time and all eternity and for that I am ever thankful. I love having a living prophet that guides this church.

How I live my faith

I am the secretary in my ward. I work closely with the bishop, helping him as much as I can. I have also been in the young men's organization working with 14 & 15 year olds. It was very rewarding to plan the annual high adventure camps and spend the week watching the boys grow to young men. It's amazing to be a part of this great church. The only number that matters in this church is one. Each and every person is precious to the Lord and one lost is one to many.
