Hi I'm Jessica R

I'm an aspiring author and overprotective big sister. I want a pet dragon and I'm Mormon.

About Me

I am the oldest of five children and a recent college graduate. Though my years of picking apart every single word put in front of me for the sake of my English degree are now behind me, I'm still inspired by the idea of language and how people use it to interact with and get closer to each other. I really love reading and writing, and I'm a huge fan of speculative fiction. They are great tools to explore the world and other people if, like for me, travel isn't always an option. When I do get to spend time with friends, I try and find memorable quotes from our experiences to help remember the best moments in my life.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because as I have tested the principles of the gospel throughout my life, I have received evidence time after time that this is the truth and it can make me happy. I have felt the love of my Heavenly Father and my Savior, I know they have made it possible for me to be happy not just now but forever, and I have a powerful desire to return that love with everything that I have. I strive to keep the commandments and to live by Jesus' example as proof of my testimony, conviction, and ever increasing love.

How I live my faith

I've served in several different ways, but most often I've worked with children, having the privilege of teaching them the fundamentals of our faith. Being a rather meticulous person, I've also really enjoyed serving on different planning committees, making plans and preparing materials for activities for young adults.
