Hi I'm Mary Ann

Hi, I'm married with a large family. I grew up in the United States. I love music, reading, and chocolate. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Hi, I'm Mary Ann and I'm a Mormon. I'm also a wife, a mom (we have 6), a grandma (final count 23) and now a great-grandma, with 7 great-grandbabies, and counting. I was born in Michigan and joined the Church when at was 12. I've lived in a number of states throughout the years, and now live in Utah. I've enjoyed being a stay-at-home Mom, and also have had the opportunity to work in a number of different office jobs. My favorite was probably working at a University doing event planning. I got my event planning training doing birthday parties and PTA events! I've enjoyed every stage of my life and my husband and I are moving on to a new and exciting adventure. We are leaving in March to serve a mission for the Church. We are excited and thankful for the opportunity to serve Heavenly Father fulltime for the next 18 months.

Why I am a Mormon

I love the gospel of Jesus Christ and am grateful for my membership in his Church. Following the teachings of the Savior has helped me be a better wife, a better mom, and overall - a better person. As I study the scriptures and the words of the prophets I continue to learn and grow spiritually. It is a blessing to know my Heavenly Father and my Savior know me and love me. I know that I am a child of God. This knowledge makes my life and my family's life meaningful and fulfilling. I count my blessings everyday!

How I live my faith

I've had the opportunity to work in Relief Society, Young Women and Primary. One year I was willing to get up really early, and taught Early Morning Seminary. I've enjoyed all my callings but directing music is one of my favorites. I love the hymns of the Church and find some of the best sermons in the words of these inspired hymns. Listening to the hymns brings peace to my soul; the kind of peace that the Savior taught in John 14:27, "Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid." I try everyday to follow the teachings of Jesus by keeping His commandments and loving and serving my family and my neighbors.
