Hi I'm Kensie Nelson

Hi guys! I'm a Canadian eh! Born in Okotoks and currently living in Edmonton! And i'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm twenty years young and a lover of life, friends and family! I love music and jamming on my violin. I am an avid photo taker with high hopes travel the world with my photography. I am currently studying Elementary Education and ADORE children. I love anything fun and adventurous such as skiing, wake surfing, hiking, roller coasters, beaches, road trips, mountains and time with my family. I love seeing the world and want nothing more than to travel. So ya, thats a little about me.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a mormon because of the absolute happiness this church/ gospel brings me. My family is everything to me, and because of this gospel I know that I can be with them forever. I love the peace I receive from knowing that. I know that I am a child of God and that he loves each and every one of us. I know that through him, we can feel peace, hope, love, happiness and so much more. Because of our Savior we have been given second chances. We are always given the opportunity to start over and to be forgiven. I love this gospel because I know that He will never give up on us, and is always there when we need him. Because of Him I am never alone. Because of Him all trials are made easier. I love the opportunities that come with being in this church, and the wonderful friends, leaders, teachers, and family members that constantly support me. I am very thankful for the immense happiness that I receive from following the commandments and listening to the teachings of our Prophet. I am eternally grateful for the temple and all the amazing blessings that come from it. I love this gospel and would not be the person I am today without it. I am very thankful for every trial that I have gone through, as it has only made me stronger and brought me to be the person that I am today. I am happiest when living righteously in this gospel. I love my Heavenly Father and would not be who I am today without his love and guidance. This gospel is the truth, and without it I would not have so much peace and direction in my life.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by attending church every Sunday. I also attend institute and young single adult events coordinated by the church. I have taught children sunday school, organized activities, and been a leader for Monday evening groups. I also spent three weeks in Suva Fiji on a service mission with the Church to help build and provide villages with running toilets.
