Hi I'm Kenna Asay

I'm from Utah. I have been called to serve in the California, LA mission. My dream is to work for the PeaceCorp. I am a mormon.

About Me

I recently graduated college with an Associates of Science degree. After my mission, I plan to return to school to become a RN and then a NP. I love to hike, sing, and play tennis.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised a member of the church for my whole life. When I graduated high school, I moved out to school and fell away to an extent. I didn't really know what I believed or knew to be true. I lived half in and half out of the church while I struggled to understand my feelings and testimony. After a few months of this, I went to talk to my bishop about some of my concerns and things I had done. He was so loving and understanding and I had this enormous peace wash over me in his office and a great understanding of the Saviors love for me personally. I grew to love and cherish the atonement and the ordinance of the sacrament. I felt like a whole new person and was truly happy for the first time since moving out. These feelings of love and peace lead me to the decision to serve a mission. I made this decision because I want everyone to be able to feel as I have felt and to see the difference the gospel can make in each of our lives. I know that the Book of Mormon is true, I have seen the power that it gives people as they read each day. I know that the Prophets and apostles are called of God and that they are his messengers on earth today. I know that this is the true church on the earth because I have seen the difference it has made in my life. I know that Christ died for each of us on the cross and that he, along with our Father in Heaven, love us eternally. I know that there is nothing that could change this love, and I know that it's this love that can redeem us from our sins and allow us to return to live with them again. I know that God knows us on an intimate level and that he has a plan for all of us and wants us to succeed. I know these things to be true without a shadow of a doubt. In the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.

How I live my faith

While at school, I was called to teach the sisters of the church. Since then, I have been called to serve a full-time LDS mission to California and will be learning Spanish.

How can we increase our faith in Jesus Christ?

Kenna Asay
My faith in Christ, increases the most when I am putting my trust in Him and His plan for my life. When I pray, I ask God to help me know his will for me and then ask him to help me have the faith necessary to do whatever it is that he asks. After this, I look for the opportunities that he sends and recognize that they are answers to my prayers. Faith requires action, the more we act on the promptings the Lord sends us, the more he will guide us according to our faith. This also means that we must act on faith everyday by doing things such as praying, reading our scriptures, and serving those around us. Show more Show less
