Hi I'm Peyton

I'm a southerner, travel enthusiast, life lover. and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm from South Carolina, so I use the word "ya'll" every other sentence. I love to read and learn about different cultures. I am an aspiring traveler and wish to see the world. I believe that hard work and determination can get you anywhere. I am currently serving in the Utah, Salt Lake City Temple Square mission. I have had the privilege to grow up in the church, but that sure doesn't mean I haven't had my fair share of trials and hardships. I have also had to become converted to the gospel. I love this gospel..I love this life, and I thank God every day for it.

Why I am a Mormon

Hmm..why am I a Mormon? What a loaded question. I am a Mormon because I choose to be. I, like many other people, went to high school. And that is probably one of THE hardest thing to go through. That is the time period that I decided for myself if I really wanted to live this gospel. I noticed that when I did do what was right, and what the Lord would want me to do, I was so much happier. And that is really what I want out of life..and really, what anyone wants out of life. To be happy. THAT is what this gospel gives you.. happiness. I am also a Mormon because it gives me hope. Hope isn't something you can really find in the world that we live in nowadays. And have the knowledge of the gospel just gives me, and others, a reassurance that no matter what, everything will be alright. No matter what life throws at you, if you have the Lord on your side, you will always win. Always.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by, most importantly, being an example. Like I said, I have been raised in the gospel, so I have been a president in my youth classes and now that I am out of youth I have been given the wonderful opportunity to teach the 11 yr. olds in my congregation. It has helped me to understand the simpler aspects of the gospel and I'm able to get down to the basics. I attend Institute, which is a weekly gospel class for college students. I just try my best to live every day to what Heavenly Father would want me to do. And the person that He wants me to become.
