Hi I'm Cierra

I grew up in Utah and Missouri. I am attending BYU-Idaho. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up for the most part in Utah, but in 7th grade my whole family moved to the state of Missouri. Missouri is where I really figured out who I am as a person. I love playing sports such as: softball, basketball, and running track. I have been in college for three years and counting trying to get my degree in Accounting, and a minor in Music.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised in the church, but it wasn't until I chose the gospel for myself that it truly had meaning to me. I struggled with somethings that had happened to me, and I couldn't understand how my Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ could let these things happen to me. I was attending a devotional put on by my college when the speaker said something that made me realize that I was in the right place and apart of the right gospel. The speaker said that comfort isn't only given to those who have sinned, but also those who have had sins committed against them, and that with faith we too can also be comforted, when we are in need of it. The gospel is a beautiful thing that gives us a way to live close to our Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ. I truly believe that trials and different things happen for a reason and at the time it may seem hard, but when you come out on the other side it feels good and I know that I was guided and these things made me stronger and led me in the right path. I know that the things taught to us by the prophets are true and that when living these standards we will truly be blessed and be able to have the things that we need. This is why I am still a Mormon it's because I know without a shadow of a doubt it is true.

How I live my faith

I currently serve as the Branch Nursery teacher which I love. I work with children who are 18 months to 3 years old. I teach them basic principles in the gospel so they can start to understand and become prepared to enter primary. I am also the music conductor for Sacrament meetings which are held every Sunday. I also have a calling to visiting teach 3 sweet sisters with my companion, these sisters we visit each month and try to find ways to help them the best way possible or to just let them know we are there for them.
