Hi I'm Makenzie

I grew up in South Carolina. I love to draw and play volleyball. I am serving a mission in Russia. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in South Carolina and am the third of four children. I am a freshman in college studying animation. I am spending the next year and a half serving a mission in Russia to share the gospel with others. I love to play volleyball, cook and hang out with friends and family. I also love to travel and go places I have never gone before.

Why I am a Mormon

Being a member of this church has brought so much happiness into my life. I was born into a home where both of my parents were faithful members of the church. They have been such a great example to me and have such great faith. When I was in high school I wanted to know if this was really the true church, so I prayed to know if this gospel and the Book of Mormon were true. After I prayed I got a powerful answer that this is the true church and the Book of Mormon is true. I know that God loves and cares for me and that through repentance I can return and live with Him again. I know that Jesus Christ suffered and died to atone for the sins of the world. I know that this is the true church and I am grateful everyday that I am able to be a part of it.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by following Christ's teachings and striving to become more like Him everyday. Doing the small, simple things in life, like even smiling and waving to others can really be a light in someone else's life. I go to church every Sunday and occasionally speak in front of the church. Each month I visit some of the other women who I go to church with to make sure they are doing well. Serving others is a great way to become more like Christ because He served everyone the entire time He was on this earth. I enjoy participating in service projects that our ward organizes because it feels really good to help others. I am now currently serving a mission for the Church in Russia. I will be teaching people in Russia the gospel because I want to share the happiness and joy I have felt with others.
