Hi I'm Samantha

I grew up in Indiana. I am a college student. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a college student studying Business and Accounting. I was baptized in Hebron, Indiana when I was 12 and I am now preparing to serve a mission. I love to dance and draw. Fashion is my passion and I hope to have a career with clothes in the future.

Why I am a Mormon

I was baptized into the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints when I was 12 years old. The missionaries who taught my brother and me will always have a special place in my heart! My mom was raised in the church as a child but fell away as a teenager. The missionaries came to our house and asked if we would like to take the lessons and later be baptized. My brother and I were so excited to learn more and accepted the invitation for baptism. My dad isn't a member of the church, but since my brother and I started going our mom has come back too. My parents got divorced shortly after our baptisms and my mom, brother, and I moved to Utah. My mom met and remarried in the temple. The gospel of Jesus Christ has been the most amazing thing in my life and I am so grateful that I have the knowledge of the truth! The Plan of Salvation is the most comforting and hopeful thing that there is. I love that I know I can have a forever family, that's beautiful! I know that Joseph Smith really did restore the fullness of the gospel to the earth and that this is that truth and fullness! I am so grateful that Joseph Smith was brave enough to share his revelation with the world because my life wouldn't be the same without it! I know the Heavenly Father sent his son Jesus Christ to earth so that all of us could come back to live with Him again someday. I know that we are all children of our Heavenly Father and Mother and that they love us so much. There is nothing in the world he wants more than for all of us to be worthy to return to His presence. I am so excited to serve a mission and be able to meet more of Heavenly Father's beloved children somewhere in the world! I know that this gospel is true and that it is what brings true happiness. I say these things in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.

How I live my faith

I will serving a full time mission in Guadalajara, Mexico this May, and I am so excited to get out there. Right now my calling is to help out with the special needs mutual. I love that calling and getting to meet those sweet people. That calling has helped me to see the love that Jesus Christ and Heavenly Father have for us. I hope to continue to help in that capacity for as long as possible.
