Hi I'm Brittany

I'm a college student, and I'm a Mormon!

About Me

I tutored math for three years during high school and realized that I love to help people learn. I am thinking about pursuing a degree in secondary education. For now, I'm really enjoying being a student myself! When I'm not at school, I love to make music. I most enjoy singing along to musicals, playing my violin, and jamming on my ukulele.

Why I am a Mormon

As I study the scriptures and follow the teachings of this church, I feel peace in my life. At this awkward phase of becoming an independent adult, I feel confidence and faith in the future because I have the reassurance that my Savior will help me to become the best possible version of myself. This gospel brings me joy! I know that God is our father and that He loves each of His children. Because I am a member of this church, I know that families can be together for eternity, even after death. This gospel gives me a better perspective on my purpose here and on what God has in store for me.

How I live my faith

I love to serve. Through various opportunities, I have learned that my life is happier when I work to help others. At church, I learned leadership skills as I was assigned to prepare for Sunday meetings for 30 other young adult women. I especially enjoy the assignment I have each month to share a message about Jesus Christ and His gospel with a few other sisters in my congregation. I know that God helps us to look outside ourselves when we serve. He helps me to feel His love as I help others to feel of that love.

How can we increase our faith in Jesus Christ?

If we follow the will of Jesus Christ, we will know, or have a testimony, that it is truly from God (John 7:17). In order to have more faith in Christ, we must follow His commandments. If we read and study His word (holy scripture), we will be strengthened in our efforts to follow the commandments. Pray with the desire to have faith in Christ, and to know what He would have you do, and be willing to act. Show more Show less
