Hi I'm Melanie Washburn

I grew up in Orem, Utah. I have been a mormon my whole life. I love this gospel! I also love tennis.

About Me

I was born and raised in Orem, Utah. I absolutely love it here! I am big into outdoor things like hiking, mountain biking, fly fishing, and many other things. Ever since I was little, I have loved animals, especially horses. I am very passionate about riding horses, infact my last job was teaching riding lessons. As far as sports go, I love tennis. Anything outdoors with family is something I will love :) as well as the gospel!

Why I am a Mormon

I am LDS, because without this gospel and and God's plan, my life is pointless. I would be lost without this church. I have fallen so many times, and probably would have stayed down if it wasn't for Christ's hand helping me up through the atonement. I know all of this to be true, because of the way I feel when I apply the gospel to my life. The Holy Ghost helps me to know what is right from wrong, and when it comes to being a mormon He has testified to me of its truth and righteousnes countless times. I love this gospel and am forever grateful for it. I say this in the name of Jesus Christ our Savior, amen.

How I live my faith

I attend church every week, and look forward to it. I am preparing for my current calling, which is to be a full time missionary for the church of Jesus Christ of Latter day Saints. I will be leaving January 13th, and am going to Everett, Washington.

Why do Mormons perform baptisms for the dead?

Melanie Washburn
We do baptisms for the dead for those who weren't able to get baptized here on earth, and have past on. This gives them a chance in the next life to be able to still make this important step in life and be able to become closer to Christ. Show more Show less
