Hi I'm Michael Allard

I am a missionary, I was born in Russia, I make quality toast, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was born in Russia and currently live in the San Francisco Bay Area. Growing up I did a little of everything and I would say I am pretty well rounded. I love playing just about any sport. I was that friend who was down for just about anything and always was the first one to jump in. I live for the ocean and like doing anything that gets me outdoors. I love the Bay Area because you get the best of both worlds I can be in the mountains hiking or at the beach within 20 minutes. I live to make people laugh and usually don't take myself too seriously. I plan on joining the Navy after my mission and pursuing a career as a physician assistant. I currently serve in the California Arcadia mission. I have a passion for photography/cinematography and mostly like to photograph people and cityscapes. I also really love music, anything from hip hop and R&B to EDM and classic rock(depends on the day).

Why I am a Mormon

Im a Mormon becuase of the strength, foundation, and peace that this gospel and church brings. This church's beliefs are centered and focused on a god who loves us as his children and has provided his son Jesus Christ to set not only an example for us but to provide a way to return and live with God. I'm a Mormon becuase at the end of the day when I fail and dont measure up I know there is someone who understands and is willing to help. I'm a Mormon becuase of the immense joy I feel as I've accepted and lived the gospel. I love that this church stresses developing a personal relationship with Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ.

How I live my faith

I feel like there's many answers to this question. I feel as though our faith should be reflected in how we make people feel. I have a long way to go but I feel that if I can just make one persons day a little better than it was before, I'm living my faith. I was a Sunday school teacher for the young men and young women before my mission which was super fun, I like teaching and I learned a lot. The youth have a lot to bring to the table! I currently serve as a missionary and it is by far the best decision I have made in my life. It has been the most challenging yet rewarding thing I've ever done and I have learned so much.
