Hi I'm Madeline Gibson

I grew up in the United States and Mexico. I played college volleyball. I served in The Dominican Republic and Fiji. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am 19 years old. I am a college business student. I played nine years of competitive volleyball, two years of college volleyball. I am currently serving a mission in Santa Maria, Brazil. I grew up in six different states in the United States, and spent almost three years living in Mexico. We volunteered at orphanages and schools for those with cerebral palsy, while living in Mexico. I helped build a school and a hurricane shelter in The Dominican Republic. I also helped build six flush-able toilets for a remote village in Fiji. I am passionate about serving and helping those in need, and I hope to find a career doing that in the future.

Why I am a Mormon

I know that this gospel brings me lasting happiness and joy. I know that my Heavenly Father and Savior care for me, and know me. This has been shown to me day after day, in the blessings I am given, in the prayers that are answered, in the lessons taught and learned, and in the feelings and conformations I receive. I have come to know through reading The Book of Mormon, praying earnestly, that this gospel is true. I am a better person, and have a clearer direction for my life when I am following the teachings of this church.

How I live my faith

I will be serving a mission for the next year and a half in Santa Maria Brazil. I will go out to teach this gospel, in hopes of bringing others closer to Christ. I am very grateful for this opportunity to serve my people of Brazil, as this is where my grandmother was born and baptized. I have relatives that I have never met, or been able to communicate with. I am so grateful for this opportunity to serve.
