Hi I'm Sarah

I have grown up most of my life living in Germany, USA, and England. I have a Black Belt in Martial arts, and I am a Mormon.

About Me

Most of my life I have been use to traveling and living in different places, most of my childhood living in Germany, and because of that I grew up with a love for many different cultures. I love learning about all kinds of cultures, trying the food of different cultures, listening to different music, and even watching films from different countries. My family raised me to appreciate all music, and to always listen to music that could uplift me and others. More recently I had gained a love for martial arts, all different forms of martial arts, trying Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, Karate, Taekwondo, XMA, Capoeira, HopKido, and a bit of MMA. I gained my black belt 2 years ago, and I am so grateful for what martial arts has taught me and helped me grow stronger as a person. Among that I also love to sew, make crafts, cook, and read. I have a deep appreciation for history and anything vintage, especially from the time of the late 1800s to early 1900s, and from that I gained a love for Steampunk. Because of my love for Steampunk and love for sciences, I had several years being in a robotics team for FRC(First Robotics Competition), and my last year in the team we got 4th place. In the future I hope to become a doctor and go around the world helping countries in need of medical support and serving those people there and giving them the support they need.

Why I am a Mormon

I have been a Mormon all of my life, and active in it as well. Even though I have grown up as a Mormon, that is not the reason I am still a Mormon. I truly love the Saviour and all he has done for me, and in my life I have had this proven over and over again. There have been moments in my life that I felt small and insignificant, and in those moments it was through the help of the gospel and my Saviour that I was lifted up and saw the happiness that Christ brings. Having the ability to live around the world has also helped open my eyes to how Christ has affected many different people around the world, and to me that is incredible. No matter where I have lived, I could always find the one constant and comfort in my life, and that is the gospel and Christ. I have learned so much from the gospel, and especially about loving others and not holding the pains of the past close to our hearts, but letting them go, and this has made me a better and happier person. I know that if I did not have the Saviour in my life, I would be lost and wonder what is there more to life. Having the knowledge the gospel brings about the purpose I have here on the earth, has always brought me such joy and understanding that it is hard to explain. It gives me a deeper purpose for what I do everyday, knowing that I have the choice everyday and what will I choose to have follow that choice I made, whether it be for good or bad. Through my mistakes I have made, I have learned and grown from them, and have gained a deeper love for my Saviour knowing the sacrifice he made so that what I have done could be repented. The gospel is a ever shining light in my life, guiding me in the direction I am meant to go and help me find that everlasting happiness. I know Christ sees us for all who we are and loves each of us equally, and he will do anything for us as long as we hold our hands out to him. I say this in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen

How I live my faith

I have always been taught by my parents and by the gospel to be who I am and lead by example, because of that I have always striven to be who I am and not let those around me change me. At school I made sure to live by the standards I have always been taught, but also I respected those around me, which in return they respected me for what I believed and known to be true. I learned by doing that, more people actually had a greater appreciation for me, as they saw I lived by what I believed in. Now I will be leaving on a mission for the church soon and through that I will be serving people daily, and what a wonderful thing it will be to be in the service of the Lord fully everyday. I know that by doing that I can even be a better example to all those around me, and help me grow in that too, so that after I come back from my mission I will have grown and learned to help those around me even more. Part of doing that now is serving others, in being friendly and showing love to all those around us, and I strive to do that as much as possible. One of the best ways I have felt in helping others, is by doing service, no matter how small or great it is, but by doing that I am living my faith even more.
