Hi I'm A.J.

I grew up in the world of business. I started my own business and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

When I was a kid I spent all of my time working in my Grandpa's jewelry store until I turned twelve and moved to another city where I started a lawn mowing business. Then a few years later when I was in my senior year of high school I bought an ice cream shop. Business is something I've been around my whole life and I love it. My other big hobby is running, I ran track and cross country my last two years of middle school and all four years of high school. I was on the varsity team as a freshman in high school for Cross Country, Indoor Track, and Outdoor Track. In high school I made it to The Simplot Games (biggest Indoor Track meet nationwide) three of my four years. My personal record for a 5k is 17:12, for the 3200 meter 10:24, for the 1600 meter 4:36, and for the 800 meter 2:08. Running has always been one of my favorite things to do and I continue to work at it everyday that I can. I'm now currently serving in the Chile Concepción mission. After my mission I plan to go to college and study to become an investor, also while in college I would like to become a collegiate athlete in Track and Cross Country.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because my mom gave up very addictive things when she was pregnant with me. She told me that theirs no way she could have given up on those things without the church and Heavenly Father's help. At that point I knew I was in the right place and so I put that same faith in the church and theirs been times when I've asked for Heavenly Father's help and he's always given it to me. I'm also Mormon because family is so important to me and I know that through Heavenly Father's plan I can be with my family for eternity. Heavenly Father is such a forgiving person and through the atonement we can overcome anything. That's something that I love about being Mormon, I love that he's always there for me and that I have leaders throughout the church that care for me and my family.

How I live my faith

As a kid growing up I did lots of service with my ward and on my own for people who needed it. As I got older I decided that I wanted to do service for my church too. So I decided I would serve a mission no matter what and as it approached there were many things that kept making it harder for me to go but I knew it was the right thing to do and because of that I'm currently serving in the Chile Concepción mission where I have the wonderful priveledge of teaching the gospel to many wonderful people.
