Hi I'm Lisa

I'm an artist. I'm a small town girl. I'm serving a mission in the West Virginia Charleston Mission. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a college student who loves art, history, and traveling. I'm from a small town, but plan on seeing the world around me. I'm part of a crazy big family that wakes up the neighborhood when we're together because we're really loud.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because the priesthood allows miracles to happen because of men with the correct authority from Heavenly Father. As a child I was ran over by a lawn mower and would have at least lost my foot if not for worthy men of the priesthood who gave me a blessing. I'm a Mormon because through the church I learn my divinity as a woman and as a child of God. I'm a Mormon because it makes sense. Why would Christ form a religion different now then when he was on the Earth? The Church of Jesus Christ is truly Christ's church and is based on His church of old. I'm a Mormon because I've been taught that through the Atonement of Christ I can be forgiven and strengthened. I'm a Mormon because it gives me a way to give service on a weekly basis to those in my community. I'm a Mormon because I feel and know it is right.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by helping those around me. Whether this involves holding a child, teaching a class, or helping another student with their schoolwork I try to serve those around me. Sometimes my service comes through giving a smile to another and ensuring them that it will all be worth it in the end. I live my religion by giving others a view of Christ and the hope that comes through Him by the way I live. I have faith that through any tribulation that we are going through we can have optimism and hope, and try to show others that there is someone to calm the storms of our lives.
