Hi I'm Miranda

I grew up in Utah and was raised in the gospel. I consider myself very lucky to be surrounded by the gospel I love so dearly.

About Me

Hi, I'm Miranda and I am preparing to leave on my mission. I have been called to serve in the Birmingham, Alabama mission; spanish speaking. I report to the Mexico MTC (Missionary Training Center) on March 23. Besides the gospel, I love all things Disney, Doctor Who, Sherlock, and Harry Potter. Im kinda a total geek. I love to read and sing and am planning to go to college when I return from Alabama.

Why I am a Mormon

Because I was raised in the gospel I always went to church, and I usually didnt think much of it, its just what my family did. When my parents got divorced it was a really hard time for me and at eleven I was already kinda lost. Thats when I started thinking about what me going to church meant. What did I believe? Though I continued to attend church outwardly I was questioning the church inwardly and not always in nice ways. For years I stayed that way, going to church but not liking it and even ridiculing it at times. A little while after I turned fourteen I was sitting in our sunday meeting and bored out of my mind. Then I heard a speaker talking about the shepherd who left his 99 sheep to go find the one that was lost. That is when my testimony and belief in the church started. I still struggled with questions and feelings about members for quite a while but now, I'm 19 I believe in the church wholeheartedly and want for others to feel just as loved and cherished as I feel. So I am serving a mission where I can shout my love of the Savior from the rooftops.

How I live my faith

I have been called to teach some great little four year olds on sunday about basic gospel principals; such as: Jesus loves you, Joseph Smith was a prophet, and so on. I also read my scriptures every day, either the Book of Mormon, the Bible, the Doctrine and Covenants, or the Pearl of Great Price. I pray at the very least twice a day and usually more than that. Mostly because I need all the help I can get in being Christlike.
