Hi I'm Brandon Bates

I love the outdoors, I'm an athlete, a missionary serving in South Carolina and I'm a dedicatied Mormon!!

About Me

I am a typical young adult who loves to spend time outdoors and playing sports. i loved hanging out with my friends. i plan on attending UVU and joining the Air Force after my mission. I'm currently serving a full time mission in the beautiful state of South Carolina. Nothing brings me greater joy than bringing souls closer to Our Savior. I would not trade anything in the world for the lesson i have learned so far on my mission.

Why I am a Mormon

Honestly i never knew why i actually was a mormon...in my younger years i went through the motions of going to church and relying on my parents testimonies. i never really wanted to try super hard to figure out why i was mormon. i was born into this wonderful faith but never knew for myself why i considered myself a mormon. it wasn’t till i had spent most of my youth doing everything opposite of what the church said not to do that i realized why i was mormon. i left for my mission without fixing and figuring out why i was mormon. i got out into the field and as i was trying to help others find their faith and convert over i realized i still hadn’t figured out why for myself. i ended up going home for six month and it wasn’t till then that i found out why i’m mormon. as i was home God showed me my weaknesses and my strengths. he gave me extra strength through doing what he asks daily like reading scriptures and praying. i came to know why i was mormon. it wasn’t for my parents sake or brothers or sisters...it was all about my true happiness and want for further knowledge and that’s all that the Church Of Jesus Christ is all about...Furthering your knowledge and being happy when life throws its curve balls. it doesn’t mean the church will take all the hard out of life...but it makes life easier to bare. this is why i am a proud Mormon ❤️

How I live my faith

I live my faith by always remembering where I came from and who I'm representing. I live my faith by having a Christ centered home. I go to church every Sunday and try to keep the sabbath day holy. I try to do my callings as best as I can. I go hometeaching and make sure everyone knows that I am there for anyone in my Ward Family.
