Hi I'm Jeff

I love animals, I ride horses, I'm a photographer, I'm a student, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a photographer, I love to ride and care for horses, I'm attending BYU Idaho, I'm currently serving a mission in the North Carolina Charlotte mission, I love music, and I love my Savior Jesus Christ.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the church, but I haven't always known it was true. My real conversion came when I was about 12 years old. I'd already been baptized, but I still didn't know if it was really the true church. I read the scriptures, said my prayers, and did everything I was supposed to, but it really just felt like going through the motions; not really any meaning to it. One day, I got tired of "going through the motions", and I decided I wanted to know for myself if this church was indeed the true church of Christ. I knelt down by my bedside, and I prayed harder than I'd ever prayed before. But unlike you'd expect, nothing happened. I didn't feel anything. So I got up, and kept going with my day. Later that day, I got a really bad nosebleed, and it was bleeding for about an hour and a half. and it wasn't lessening at all. I then realized that this was my chance to know for sure. So I prayed one more time, and I said: "Heavenly Father, if you're there, stop my nosebleed." I then released pressure on my nose, and nothing came out. The bleeding had stopped. God had answered my prayer. After that day, I've never doubted the fullness of this gospel. I know this gospel is true. I know it with all the fiber of my being. God answers everyone's prayers. It usually isn't immediate, but He ALWAYS answers. Through Him, all things are possible. He knows what challenges we face in life, and He knows how to help. He wants to help. If we ask, He will make our burdens light, and help us in our trials. Through the atonement of Christ, all things can be made right. I know these things to be true. In the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.

How I live my faith

Every Sunday, I help prepare and bless the sacrament because there aren't enough teachers or priests to do it all. I read my scriptures every night, and I write in a journal every night. I also pray every night and day for the various things I'm concerned with or need help with. Expressing thanks is a large part of my daily prayers. I volunteer at a stable near my house, and I try to share the happiness I feel from my faith with those around me. I'm the only member of the church that works there, and everyone sees that there's a difference in me and how I act and how happy I am.
