Hi I'm Jess

I grew up in the rolling desert of Arizona. I love to laugh. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a junior in college studying to be an elementary school teacher. Science is my favorite subject, especially chemistry. I love laughing with my family. I work in a bakery by my school, and I make a lot of dough. (Mostly cookie dough.) Though I have no pets currently, I love animals, especially dogs. I have two sisters and two brothers, and we have a jolly good time together playing games and having fun. I play the piano, love to run and swim, and I play soccer with friends when I have time.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because at first, that is what was easy. My parents are Mormons, as well as many members of my extended family. I enjoy the good lifestyle that we are encouraged to live. However, after a while it was not good enough that my parents knew and loved the Gospel of Jesus Christ; I found out for myself that it is true. Ever since I knew for myself, I love the truth and light that is in my life. I am not just happy, but I am joyful. It is easier to bear hard things because of the strength I receive from the knowledge of these truths. I love living a clean life that is centered around our Savior Jesus Christ. I know that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is the true church on the earth today! I know that the Book of Mormon is truly God's words and another testament of Jesus Christ! I know that Joseph Smith is a Prophet and he really did restore the church on the earth in this time, and with God's help, he was able to translate the Book of Mormon. I know that families can be together forever! Above all, I know that God loves us so much, and He knows exactly what we are going through and He is very aware of each and every one of us. God loves us so much that He sent His only Begotten Son to come and atone for our sins, shortcomings, sorrows, heartaches, health challenges, and any other hard thing that we have to endure in this life. Because of these truths that I know, I am more prepared to battle life and all it has to bring. And I am much happier too.

How I live my faith

I go to church every Sunday. I try to be kind to everyone I meet and help out my friends with small things, such as rides, and including everyone in activities. I try to treat others the same way I want to be treated. I smile a lot too, because my faith makes me happy.
