Hi I'm SLade

I come from a family full of military veterans and have lived in Pennsylvania for most of my life. I graduated at 16 I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am self teaching myself several martial arts and how to use different medieval weapons. I have always been fascinated with animals and love reading fantasy books and myths from a variety of cultures.

Why I am a Mormon

My family joined the church when I was three and I have been a member ever since. I stayed with the church this long because I realized the blessings that its teachings have given me. Because of what I know from the church I am free of addiction, in very good health, and have a great relationship with my family among other things, and I really like this.

How I live my faith

I am currently serving as a missionary for the church and have previously served in the presidencies of the deacon, teacher, and priesthood quorums.

What is the Atonement of Jesus Christ? Why was it necessary for Jesus Christ to sacrifice His life?

The atonement is a source of hope. It is what allows us to be forgiven for our sins and get closer to the perfection that our Heavenly Father wants us to achieve. Jesus Christ died to take on our sins. If it were not for Him, the atonement would not be possible. It is because He volunteered to be our mediator that we can have mercy and there still be justice. What is the priesthood?

The priesthood is the power of God, stated simply. It is given to worthy male members of the church to work the will of God on earth, but it is not something that priesthood holders can use however they like. If what they decide to use the priesthood for is not Gods will, there words will have no power. Show more Show less
