Hi I'm Natasha Davies

I grew up in England. I believe life is a working progress. I'm a Mormon

About Me

I see life as an adventure, it can be challenging at times but in the end it's worth the extra effort. When growing up I like to see myself as an average child, I wasn't the smartest in the class neither was I the rebel at the back of the classroom. I have graduated from college with a childcare degree however I currently work within a family business. My dream in life is to travel the world and explore different lifestyles and cultures, and then eventually settling down to have my own family.

Why I am a Mormon

I chose to be a Mormon and it was a daunting process at the time. When I was younger me and my sister used to go with our nan most Sunday's to church until my nan had passed away, after that we stopped attending church. It wasn't until I was around 13/14 when I was provided with the opportunity to go back with my parents. I said no, it looked like a burden and I felt uneasy going to a place with no one I really know, understanding nothing. I don't know why but one day I did go. It happened all of a sudden, I was suddenly at church scared beyond belief. What I learnt over the next few years really helped my trust and faith I have of the church. To understand, to know for yourself if the church is true, it's you who has to take the first step or open the first page to the scriptures, we have a choice, its down to us as individuals to learn for ourselves if this is the right path for us. What I struggled most with was praying, but I promise this its an on going process the more you try, the more you learn, we don't get through life without using our own initiative, yes we all make mistakes or have our down days, but the most important thing is, that we keep on going, keep on trying and never give up. The church has taught me many different aspects to life, An example of this can be that we are taught what we need to do to get back home to be with our families forever. I never regret that day I decided for some unknown reason to go to church. And I cannot wait to see what else I can learn or experience through the church because whenever I have a question about life, I seem to find the answer through the church.

How I live my faith

I like to think that living with my faith is a normal everyday occurrence. It developed over time and will forever continue to do so. The more I experience it the more I crave it, reassurance, trust, understanding and love, is what I relate to when I hear the word faith. One aspect which has really helped me improve my faith is my current calling within the church, this is to teach the children. The reason why this has helped me so much is because a child's perspective of life is brilliant, it's not like ours where we question or worry about everything, they are carefree and not afraid to speak their mind or ask questions whenever and wherever concerning the church.
