Hi I'm John "McKay" Petitta

I grew up in Northwest Atlanta, Georgia. I play baseball I love having the opportunity to serve others! I am a Mormon!

About Me

I am McKay, I played college baseball but I have taken 2 years off to take the opportunity of a lifetime! To serve a full time mission as a representative of Jesus Christ in the Washington Vancouver Mission. My life has been pretty interesting and the road to serving a mission was not a short one by any means but through my Savior I was able to serve a mission and help others find the peace that was bright into my life when I began to repent.

Why I am a Mormon

The Plan of Salvation is one of the most influential part of my life, it allows us to see beyond this short time on earth. It helps me understand the love that God has for us as well as His plan that brings much greater happiness than any plan we could think of on our own! The whispering of the Holy Spirit have brought me to the knowledge of my Savior and through Him I have overcome many struggles along with millions and millions of other followers of Christ. What a blessing it is to know that God's love is still so evident that He speaks to us through a prophet today, that He has not left us here to perish but to teach us continually the ways we need to live our lives. I have come to know the truthfulness of the Book of Mormon, I know that anyone who reads it will also feel of the Saviors love and forgiveness as you ponder and pray about the things that are taught by our fathers. This gospel will bless anyone's life more than anything on earth! If you don't believe me, check it out!!

How I live my faith

I love my faith, a little different.. I don't just live it anymore, I'm grateful for the commandments that keep me away from things that can dull my spirituality. At this point I'm serving a mission and doing my best to do what the savior commissioned his apostles to do, "teach repentance baptism in the name of the Father, Son and the Holy Ghost."
