Hi I'm Mahonri

Im a child of God. I grew up in far north Queensland. Love my sports, music and cultures. I'm a mormon

About Me

I am a blessed young man. I am of Torres Strait and Pacific islander descent. I love my cultures and various Christlike attributes they teach me. I love music and sports. I traveled to various parts of the world to sing as part of the Qantas Choir. I would like to consider myself as the sporty type also. I have made minor representative teams in Rugby and Basketball. I have been blessed with much. I have a family for which i am truly grateful for. I look forward to achieving all that the lord has in-store for me.

Why I am a Mormon

I have a testimony of this gospel. My great grandmother was converted to this church as a young adult and i have grown to know why she was converted. Even though i was raised in the church i didn't know if it was true until i asked. Asked God. I read the Book of Mormon. Attended church and prayed. I asked God if this was truly his church. My answer came by the power of the Holy Ghost. I felt something in my heart and enlightenment in my mind. This church was true. It takes a little faith, hope and work but answers do come and mine did. I always wanted to believe but didn't know until i asked the question is this true. And i can truly testify that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is God's true church. I am a Mormon. Come and See for yourself.

How I live my faith

I strive to do the simple things. I believe simple things lead to some of the greatest things. Keep the commandments. Go to church. Read scriptures. Pray. Fulfill your given responsibilities and callings. Currently i serve as the pianist in a small branch (congregation) where i'm from. Now i am preparing to serve a full time mission in Japan. I know God works with us as we diligently strive to do what he asks. Whether big or small he is there to help, sometime it just takes a little bit of patience. Take life one step at a time ,but if you have to jump to the next step. Jump.

What is being a Mormon like?

Joyful, Challenging, rewarding and pushing yourself to be a better person. Many criticize the church for too many rules a cult. But it's not this church is believes in agency (choosing). All who join this church choose to because of their faith in Christ and want to become better people. Become like God. No one is perfect that is undeniable but we can sure strive to become the best we can be in every sense of the word spiritually, physically emotionally. This is what being a Mormon is like. It is fun and rewarding. Striving to become the best people we were intended to be. Show more Show less
