Hi I'm Tyler Schnoor

I like doing anything outside. I am called to serve in the Madagascar, Antananarivo mission. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I like rock climbing, hiking, camping, fishing and other outdoor activities. I also like reading and writing. I have four younger brothers. I was born in California, but grew up in Canada. I am serving a mission in Madagascar.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I love the principles that the gospel teaches. I believe that if everyone lives by the teachings of the scriptures and our modern day leaders, the world is a better place. I am grateful for the explanation the gospel provides for our purpose here on Earth. It gives me purpose and makes me happy.

How I live my faith

I am currently serving as a full-time missionary for the church in Madagascar. My purpose as a missionary is to invite others to come unto Christ by helping them receive the restored gospel through faith in Jesus Christ and his atonement, repentance, baptism, receiving the gift of the Holy Ghost and enduring to the end. This in turn strengthens my faith. I am the happiest when I am serving others.

What is the Atonement of Jesus Christ? Why was it necessary for Jesus Christ to sacrifice His life?

Tyler Schnoor
The Atonement of Jesus Christ is what enables us to return to our father in heaven. We are imperfect beings who make mistakes often (a fact that our Father in Heaven knows well). We also know that we cannot enter into the presence of God again if we are not clean from sin. To compensate for this, Jesus Christ atoned (payed for) our sins. Because our sins have been payed for, as long as we repent and forsake our sins, we can be forgiven and return to live with our Heavenly Father. Show more Show less
