Hi I'm Ethan

I'm a Missionary. I'm an Aspiring Musician. I love to laugh. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I've lived my whole life on the eastern coast of the United States. I was born in Buffalo, New York. I lived in Connecticut and Georgia at a young age, but my family soon found its way back to Buffalo. I was home-schooled up until third grade, where I experienced real social interactions for the first time, outside of my family. This sudden social change, along with a little time to grow and understand people better, I discovered that I'm probably the biggest introvert I know. I love spending time with those who are close to me and having meaningful conversations with them. I love to think. I love to learn. I love to write poetry. I love a good book (especially Tolkien's work). I love music. And I LOVE ukulele. I picked up the ukulele on Christmas morning in 2014, and since then I fell in love with it! I'm still not the best at it, but I can definitely say I've gotten much better. Learning the ukulele has even paved the way to starting the guitar, too! I am currently serving as a missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, in the California Santa Rosa Mission.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because the Gospel has restored Hope to my life. For me, it was difficult to make good friends for the longest time. My family was inactive in the church for a while except my sister. My older brother began to return, and soon the rest of us followed suit. Being able to participate in the youth program helped me to develop eternal friendships and obtain a greater love for those friends. Learning of God's plan of happiness more in-depth has given me a greater understanding of man's divine nature, of the worth of the souls of those around me, and of myself as a Child of God. There are times where I still struggle, but I know now that I can always lean on the Lord and His everlasting and loving embrace. I am a Mormon because I know that my Heavenly Father and Savior are helping me, and He takes the burden of loneliness and replaces it with a love greater than any of us can comprehend. I am a Mormon because I want to share that eternal truth with those who may need to learn it for themselves.

How I live my faith

Living my faith is the most important thing to me. When I live my faith by attending church, partaking of the sacrament, and doing my best to follow Christ, everything else falls into place. I have received the call to serve as a missionary in the California Santa Rosa mission, and I reported on February 3rd of 2016. One of the greatest ways to follow Christ's example is by serving others without the want of gain. Missionary service is just one of many of the ways we can serve our fellow man. I'm love to share the Light that has helped me so many times in my life with others!
