Hi I'm Annie

I am going on an LDS mission. I love ballet, swimming, running and hiking. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love activities, all sorts from ballet to swimming to hiking. I love nature, especially the Wasatch Mountains and Southern Utah. I recently graduated from high school. I love painting and drawing, I hope to go to college to get a degree in fine arts.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born and raised in a family active in the LDS church. I was taught the stories of Jesus at a young age and chose to be baptized when I turned 8. I never doubted the teachings of Christ's gospel, but I didn't know of the truth until I was around 12. During middle school I decided to read the Book of Mormon and pray to ask God if this book is true, if the teachings in it will bring me to Christ and if Joseph Smith really translated this holy book. After reading and praying I did get an answer. I felt a warm feeling in my heart, like someone was hugging me inside and out. The Book of Mormon is true! Later as I studied and prayed in faith I came to know that Joseph Smith was a true prophet of God, he did restore the gospel of Christ and His church as it was originally, and he saw God the Father and Jesus Christ. I know that this church is full of truth and goodness. I have become a better, kinder, more Christ-like person because of my participation in the church. This gospel has blessed my life and saved my family. I am so grateful for this truth to guide my life.

How I live my faith

I am currently in charge of teaching the youth how to use FamilySearch, an ancestry tool to discover our roots and link our families together. I love learning about my family history; reading their stories and finding how I relate to them. It is wonderful to see the youth get excited and start talking to their parents and grandparents to hear their memories.
