Hi I'm Taylor Soper

Hey, nice of you to stop by. How are the kids? Good? Wonderful. I'm on a mission in Madagascar as of now, and I'm a Mormon!

About Me

I love knowing a little bit about everything, so I love when somebody tells me about a passion of theirs, and I can learn more about what I truly enjoy. But, I could especially talk about soccer and basketball all day. Before my mission to Madagascar (leaving January 6th), I have been a student at BYU where my dad works as a Humanities professor. My major is Information Systems because I have an affinity for computers and business, hopefully; I'm only a freshman. I'm a skinny guy who likes to eat a lot, so if you ever have a snack, hand it over.

Why I am a Mormon

It is because of my family. It's because I have the knowledge that through the Atonement of Jesus Christ, I can live with my family forever in God's presence. My dad leads our house with love, diplomacy and righteously uses the Priesthood. My mom is way too empathetic and kind, and it seems like she is never thinking of herself. My older sister is a great mom that cares deeply for others, and she wraps our family together. My brother has integrity, is a great example as a missionary and is a great best friend. My little sister is spiritually in-tune, caring and it's clear she wants the best for everybody. They all have the best senses of humor too, each one of them. It is also because I have worked for it. I read the Book of Mormon a couple times, prayed for months with a sincere heart, stayed worthy and finally received an answer. It took time, but now I can genuinely develop my testimony, come closer to Christ and serve others with my heart, mind, might and strength. Mahafinaritra ny filizantsara!

How I live my faith

-Read Jesus is the Christ! On my mission, I haven't been able to put it down. It's great for personal study because it's perfect for relating what I learned back to the investigators. -I pray for others as much as I can. I ask for strength to teach and relate with the people effectively, but I've grown so much only thinking about others. It's a mental vacation from myself here. -I pray whenever I get the prompting now. It's definitely easier on the mission now. In addition, I am learning that I am genuinely talking to God, and my prayers are now audible, on my knees, respectful and kind of like a conversation. I really believe that Alma 37:36-37 is the truth. -I teach with the Spirit. Because I have studied, put in the work and developed my own testimony, the Spirit works through me to testify of Christ. It's an amazing feeling to notice the Spirit working in investigators.
