Hi I'm Sam

I grew up in California and Utah. I am studying to be a math teacher. And I'm a Mormon.

About Me

If I wasn't about to go on my mission, I would be going to schoool to continue my study of math education so one day I can teach it to high school students. I like to go rock climbing and reading books is one of my favorite activities. I also am a big fan of Netflix. ;)

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I know with this gospel I can return to live with our Heavenly Father with my eternal companion one day. The teachings of this gospel help me be a better person in general. And I know families can be together forever. I know Christ died for me so that I could use the cleansing power of the Atonement, so I can be pure to live with my Father in Heaven after I die. I am serving a mission soon to become more like Christ and spread his light and love to His people that haven't discovered the light yet.

How I live my faith

I try to be a good example to my little brothers, who aren't very old. I also try to learn lessons from them. I find service opportunities whenever possible, and I enjoy attending church each week. I pray and study the scriptures daily (well, most of the time. I'm human). I also like to befriend people and at least go out of my way to say hello and be as happy as I can be.

What is the Mormon lifestyle like? How do Mormons live?

A Mormon's lifestyle isn't very different than your average Joe. We watch T.V., read books and drive cars. We hold positions in various jobs. We don't have multiple wives. The big difference would be that we don't drink alcohol, coffee, or certain kinds of tea. We also strive to live happy lives and we believe the best way to do that is by following God's law and being part of a family. Show more Show less
