Hi I'm Mauri

I am a writer and poet. I speak French and hope to someday travel to Paris. I love my friends and little sisters. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love to read and write, and I hope to someday teach high school English so I can help others love to do these things as well. I am currently going to BYU Provo and am majoring in English Teaching. French is a language that is very near and dear to my heart, and I pray that one day I will be able to go to Paris. My three younger sisters are three of my best friends and we love to play games, play with our cat, and watch television together. I love the gospel of Jesus Christ. It has saved me in so many ways. I love my Savior, Jesus Christ, and that is why I have decided to serve a mission. I will be serving in Novosibirsk, Russia and I leave in just a few weeks.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I know this church is true and that God lives and loves me, and that has given me the strength to continue on when life gets hard. God's love for me has saved me in so many ways. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints brings a light into my life that I never want to live without. I have gone through times when I have pushed the gospel to the side because I have been confused about what will bring me true happiness, but the absence of the gospel only brought darkness and despair into my life. The truths and knowledge that comes with being a Mormon is what brings true happiness. I know that whatever I do in life, I can do it with my Savior and my Heavenly Father at my side, guiding me and helping me along. They are there for me, and they will give me comfort, help, and love as I struggle through my trials in life. I don't know how anyone goes through life without the love of God and Jesus Christ. It is my pillar in life, and what I lean on when times get hard.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by living as an example of Jesus Christ. I do my best to serve others and show everyone kindness, no matter their faith or other lifestyle choices.
