Hi I'm Emma

I grew up in Las Vegas Nevada. I have a mission call to Helsinki, Finland. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Some of my hobbies include tennis, rock climbing and snowboarding. I am going to college at Brigham Young University in Idaho. I have four sisters and one brother.

Why I am a Mormon

This church gives me peace and comfort. Living the Law of Chastity, and obeying the Word of Wisdom gives me confidence in who I am. It helps me feel like I am a daughter of God and that I am fulfilling my role. This gospel gives me comfort in my trials. When I feel alone, I can always turn to my Father in Heaven. He is the best listener and the best friend. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints gives me a sense of direction. Everything the gospel teaches makes sense to me and helps me answer my questions of my purpose in life. This gospel promises that with temple ordinances, we can live with our family for all eternity-Forever. To me that is one of the most wonderful gifts God has given me as a member of the church. In our church we make promises with God and receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. He is a constant companion-for while you are worthy-who teaches you, comforts you, directs you and gives you joy. I have noticed when I don't have the Holy Ghost with me I feel empty, frustrated and not at peace. This gospel has not only made a big difference in my life-It is my life.

How I live my faith

I enjoy service opportunities. I have been a camp leader for an LDS Girls camp. I live my faith by trying to help others receive the gospel of Jesus Christ. I want everyone to feel the same love I do. I am a missionary for the people of Finland.

How can we increase our faith in Jesus Christ?

In order to increase our faith in Jesus Christ, we must learn of Him and try and be like him. We can do this by studying the Book of Mormon and Bible, serving others and being obedient to God's commandments. We increase our Faith by doing. We cannot increase our Faith without action. Faith will only grow as we nourish our testimonies in Christ. We can become like Christ through the atonement of Jesus Christ. As we repent daily, we will have the a peace of the Joy that Heavenly Father feels through the Holy Ghost. Show more Show less
