Hi I'm Jack

I love my family. I love to serve. I'm serving in the Chesapeake Virginia Mission. Oh, and I'm a Mormon!

About Me

I love to read and write. My favorite genre is science fiction. I love to learn, and consider every opportunity to do so a blessing. I graduated from Madison High School in Rexburg, Idaho. I did one semester of college at BYU-Idaho. I've also lived in Salt Lake City, Utah and Atlanta, Georgia. I am the second oldest of five kids, with two brothers and two sisters. I love the snow! In the winter, I make all sorts of snow creations with my brothers. I have recently taken up snowboarding, and I love it!

Why I am a Mormon

I may have been a member my whole life, but I know that everyone needs to go through a personal conversion. My personal conversion and testimony really began as I used the atonement and became a better person. I know that the gospel is true. I continue to grow in my convictions as I do my best to repent daily, read from the scriptures, and do my best to serve others. I have read the Book of Mormon a few times, and it has brought me a lot of spiritual strength. I have applied the teachings of the Book of Mormon in my life, and I have received an answer from God that the book is true. This is evidence to me of the validity of the claim that this church is in reality THE church of Jesus Christ. I have felt God's love in prayer, and I know that he loves and has high expectations for all of us.

How I live my faith

I have held many different callings as I've grown up. I've enjoyed participating in mutual activities and ward service activities. I am a missionary for the church, and I am serving in Chesapeake, Virginia for two years. I love to meet people of faith, but more than anything, I love to help others grow in their faith and experience the joys of becoming clean from sin. I consider serving as a missionary to be a huge blessing to my life and testimony. I pray to God for guidance in the things I do, and I strive to follow His directions. I mostly find this direction in the scriptures, particularly the Book of Mormon and the New Testament.

Are all Mormons required to serve a mission?

Jack
Serving a mission is a priesthood obligation. I want to magnify my calling as a missionary, and honor my priesthood by serving a full-time mission. Show more Show less
