Hi I'm Jason

I was born in Hawaii. I grew up in Colorado. I'm serving a mission in Hungary starting June 14th. I love writing books. I'm Mormon

About Me

I like to go hiking, and running, and occasionally going to the gym. I love writing and one day hope to become an author. I've starting publishing a book already, and hope to continue on with my dream. I hope to go to BYU after my mission and get an education in English. I'll be heading out on February 10th to serve in the Hungary Budapest mission. I'm so excited! I know it will be such a great experience, and I hope that as I do all that I can to serve God that he will make me an instrument in his hands to bring about salvation to his children! I love the church and I'm so grateful for the many blessings it has brought into my life.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the church and never really thought anything different about it. In high school, I had some struggles with faith and the church, but rather than doubt and fall away, I decided to keep pressing forward and using what small faith I had. As I did, the blessings that came from it became very apparent. I am so grateful for this church and Christ's gospel. It has changed my life. I have a testimony of the atonement of Jesus Christ, and how we can be perfected through him. I have seen it mend and heal in my own life, and I know it can do the same for every one of his children, and that he turns away none who call on his name. I know that Joseph Smith was a prophet called of God, and that there is a living prophet here on the earth today. I know that the Book of Mormon is the word of God. The teachings in it are plain and precious, and it has blessed me with knowledge and the comfort of the spirit as I have read it. I know that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is the true church of God on the earth, and that any true seeker of knowledge will come to know the same as they study diligently and try to gain the guidance of the spirit.

How I live my faith

I participate in church activities mainly through service. I often set up or take down tables and chairs after activities like our Christmas social. I also play the piano when needed to accompany hymns on Sunday. I go on splits with the missionaries to see what it's like to go out and teach and gain some experience. Most importantly, I go to church early every Sunday to help prepare the sacrament, and during the sacrament meeting, I sit on the stand and say the prayer to bless it.
