Hi I'm Caleb Gibb

I grew up in Las Vegas. I helped raise $24,000 to build wells in Swaziland. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I will be attending Southern Utah University in Cedar City, Utah, and majoring in business management. I enjoy playing guitar, doing service through organizations like Habitat for Humanity, watching movies, participating in student government in High School, among other things. I am an Eagle Scout. I am currently serving a mission in Milan, Italy.

Why I am a Mormon

From the time I was born, the LDS church has played some part of my life. However, my family has not always been active in the Church. After being baptized at 8 years old, my family slowly grew inactive in the Church as we moved to Las Vegas, where my Mom attended school full time and tried to raise 3 kids on her own. We struggled quite a bit, not realizing that it was because we were missing the many blessing that come from God and our ward family. We didn't have much time together as a family, so the days my mom had off we tried to spend together. As she started finishing school and I grew to the age for young men's, we started attending church again. The blessings were immediate. My mom found a career in her field, we were able to move out of the slums of Las Vegas, and things were quickly turning around. My mom realized that she didn't have to raise her kids on her own, because she could have the help of the members of our ward, and help from our Heavenly Father. I found joy through service in the community, at my school, and with helping members of our ward. There has been a clear difference in my life when I have had the Gospel of Jesus Christ, and when I don't. I know that the Gospel of Jesus Christ blesses families, and I know that it can help anyone through the trials they face in life. I know the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is the restored church of Christ on the Church today. I know that Joseph Smith saw God the Father and His son Jesus Christ. I know the Book of Mormon is a true book. This is why I'm a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I am currently serving a mission in Milan, Italy. Before my mission, I had a calling as Ward Missionary. I helped the ward missionaries teach the Gospel Principles Class, and tried to go out teaching with the missionaries whenever I could. I assisted the young men in my ward with Scouting, service projects, and ward activities.
