Hi I'm Wayne

My wife and I have 4 children, 7 grandchildren. I love working with millennials. I'm a lawyer and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have practiced law full time for 37 years. My wife and I own an assisted living community with about 80 residents and 65 employees. I enjoy my grandchildren and traveling with my wife. We recently went to Finland, Denmark and then on a cruise of the Norwegian Fjords. I like sports.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised as a Mormon. I remain a Mormon and am willing to give my all to my church because I know that it is true. I had to discover this myself by reading the Book of Mormon and asking in prayer if it is true as described in Moroni 10:3-5. I received my answer that it is revealed scripture from God. I know that Heavenly Father lives, loves me and knows me. He has provided a plan for me and my family to return to him some day to live in his presence with all of the blessing that he can bestow upon us. He has provided a Savior, Jesus Christ for me. Because of Christ's sacrifice, all people are resurrected from the dead. Through His atonement we may become cleansed from our sins as we repent. This means everything to me. It provides hope and motivates me to do good and bless the lives of others. I feel great joy as I serve other. Through the Prophet, Joseph Smith, the Church of Jesus Christ has been restored in this age with prophets and apostles, just as in ancient times. Jesus Christ speaks to His prophets and apostles today and He leads His church. Their counsel and guidance have blessed the lives of my family and me. I love the tremendous people that I am privileged to associate with in the Church. They have taught me much. I cherish our friendships. Through baptism and confirmation I have received the Gift of the Holy Ghost which we also refer to at the Spirit. The Spirit has been a guide and comfort to me throughout my life. What a wonderful gift.

How I live my faith

I pray and read my scriptures daily. I visit other members of my congregation. I recently served for five years with young single adults, ages 18-31 as a counselor, mentor and advisor in their congregation. My wife and I, with other members of our congregation recently organized a service project to bring food and friendship to the residents of the Fisher House adjacent to the VA Hospital in Salt Lake City, Utah. We will be serving in the nursery for children 18 months through 3 years for the next few months. We will then go on a full time mission to Tacoma, Washington for 18 months where we will again work with young single adults. We will be their mentors, teachers, confidants, advisors, cooks/bakers, and counselors providing them with caring attitudes, friendly smiles, shoulders-to-cry-on, hugs as needed, and perhaps most of all, an example of what a caring, loving couple is like. We are really looking forward to this opportunity.
