Hi I'm Oleg Nkusi

I'm from Rwanda but was raised in South Africa in a city called Durban. I'm the first of 3 boys in my family and we're Mormons.

About Me

I am currently a Missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of latter Day Saints. I love just getting to know people. One thing that I can say that sports is something that I enjoy doing. Apart from that just being in the presence of others and learning about different cultures and backgrounds. I also enjoy working with computers and it is something that I perused at high school level and from then it has always been something that I look forward in perusing further, after serving my mission. I a member of a small family in which I am the first of three boys. Both my parents are converts to the church who joined when I was at the age of 9 years. All my other siblings are considered to have been members all their lives.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I have come to a realization that there is more to life that what meets the eye. As I progress through life I am constantly awakened to the fact that there is yet another life that we are going to live after the one in which we currently live in. One that will not be constrained with time, one that has no end but stretches out into the eternities. I learn each day that there is more that we have to do to prepare ourselves for that life that has no end. A big part of that is serving others and truly following the example of the Lord Jesus Christ. Being a Mormon has helped me understand that and has taught me the true meaning of Discipleship.

How I live my faith

I am currently serving a full time mission for the church and this is a calling that has really allowed me to stretch as an individual in reaching out to others to lend a hand in what ever way that I can help. In the church we are taught that we are all children of Heavenly Parents who care and love us. As I have served others this has principle has really come to a greater effect in my life as I now look at others as my brothers and sisters and not as strangers.
