Hi I'm Nancy

I live in the mountains of Utah with my husband. I am a mom, a grandmother, reader, walker and I am a Mormon.

About Me

My husband and I have raised our children in the mountains of Utah where we have lived for 25 years. I love to walk in the morning mountain air with my friends. I love to read. I enjoy doing family history. I have traveled to many countries and have had a chance to get to know and love the people and culture of each country. I graduated from BYU with a bachelors degree in Child Development/Family Relations. I love to learn. My favorite thing to do is spend time with my family - my husband, my children and their spouses and my grandchildren.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into a faithful Mormon family, where I was taught to love and trust my Father in Heaven. My family is such a blessing in my life. As a teenager my family moved a couple of times and I felt very lonely and scared being away from the people I had known my whole life. I remember many nights tearfully praying for comfort. My prayers were answered, and I knew that my Father in Heaven and my Savior Jesus Christ were aware of me and that they loved me. They sent the comforter to me. This was the beginning of a testimony of the reality of my Heavenly Father and the Savior that has continued to grow throughout my life. This testimony gives me strength in extremely difficult times. I have buried 3 children and as difficult as that was, I never felt totally alone. I felt the Savior lift my burdens when I couldn't bare them any more. I know that I can rely upon the words of God to guide me. I try to read the scriptures, especially the Book of Mormon, every day. Understanding the word of God through His prophets helps guide me every day in the choices I make. The scriptures

How I live my faith

I teach children about Jesus Christ each Sunday. I have spent my life trying to serve and teach as Jesus Christ has taught us to. I have been involved in leading youth and women organizations as well as teaching children. My husband and I will be leaving shortly to serve in South America as missionaries of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
