Hi I'm Keaton Nielsen

I live in Twin Falls, Idaho where I've lived most of my life. I am about to leave on a mission in Fort Worth Texas. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I am currently serving as a full time missionary in the Texas, Fort Worth mission. I am right now in Gainesville, Texas. I grew up in Twin Falls, Idaho and always loved working with my dad, who is a small business owner. Our family business is retail sales in aftermarket truck and car accessories. I really enjoyed working with cars and trucks. I also became very involved in high school rodeo and I calf-roped, bulldogged and team roped. I spent a couple of months before my mission working for an excavator, I would help with the ground work of digging foundations and septic systems. I like to see the parallels between digging foundations for homes, and helping people build their foundations of faith. All things testify of Christ.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the church, and have been raised as an active member. I have continued to go to church with my family, because at a very young age I gained a testimony of Jesus Christ. As a young child I did not doubt the things which my church leaders and my parents told me were true, and when I grew older I never really doubted it either, but the thoughts which I had questioning the truth of it led me to discover for myself whether it was true or not. I cannot count the number of times which the truths of the gospel have been reaffirmed to my mind. Before I was baptized when I was 8 years old I kneeled and asked the Lord if the church was true, if Joseph Smith was a true prophet, and asked about the other truths of the gospel, and upon doing so I felt the power of the Holy Ghost testifying to me that indeed it is true! I am a Mormon, because I know in my heart that it is right, I know that it is the Lord's church and the only way to obtain eternal life.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by always remembering Christ, and trying to live the way that he wants me to live. I try to give service to others whenever I can, and I especially love giving spiritual service by helping others to gain the blessings that come from living Christ's gospel. I am not perfect, and so part of living my faith involves picking myself up when I fall and trying my hardest to be better, and this can only be done through faith in Jesus Christ.
