Hi I'm Annixi Barrett

I was born and raised in Utah, but a New Yorker at heart. I'm just an ice cream loving, piano playing, adventure seeking Mormon.

About Me

I'm just a Utah girl with big dreams! I'm 19 and I love everything music, from singing, dancing, and piano. Photography, astronomy, cooking, and smiling are some of my greatest passions. I have no idea what I want to do with my life, but I'm a firm believer in no shoes, singing at the top of your lungs, and laughing until your stomach hurts. I'm currently serving a mission in Rochester, New York, as well as at the Hill Cumorah Visitors' Center and other historic sites. My best friends consist of my cute mom and dad, and my four adorable brothers. They're the light of my life and I love them to Jupiter and back. I'm the only girl, which means I somehow learned to defend myself, so I like to pretend I'm tougher than I look. I love life, I love adventure, and I love my Savior, Jesus Christ.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon, because it makes me so happy! I was so blessed to grow up in the church and I've always been surrounded by wonderful family and friends that made it easy to live the Gospel. After I graduated, I moved across the country for a job and I was so alone. I realized that I had to rely on my own testimony, rather than just lean on the testimony of those back at home. I made some decisions, good and bad, that made me so grateful to have the Atonement in my life. The Gospel of Jesus Christ is meant to lift, heal, and encourage us to do good and to be our best selves. We're not perfect, and that's alright, because our Savior, Jesus Christ, makes up the rest. What a blessing!!

How I live my faith

I live my faith every single day! Being a missionary is just the best. I love being able to go out every day and share how much God loves all of His children. I live my faith by living the Gospel of Jesus Christ. It's one thing to have faith and believe that this gospel is true.. But it's another thing to live it. Living the gospel is what changes you and I love it. (:
