Hi I'm Arthur Judd

I grew up in Idaho. I love hiking, camping, canoeing, and anything in the mountains. I'm a full-time missionary, and I'm a Mormon!

About Me

I spent my whole life in Southeast Idaho, save for a few long distance vacations. My entire life I have loved camping and backpacking and canoeing or rafting or anything else that lets you enjoy the great beauty of this earth - especially deep in the mountains. Through high school I was deeply involved in Drama and Choir. I am now serving a two-year full-time mission in Tijuana, Mexico. When I return home I plan on attending college to study biomechanical engineering and develope better prosthetic limbs or other technologies to help disabled persons.

Why I am a Mormon

While I was born into an LDS family and raised in the church, I have had to decide for myself the truth of the Church and find my own conversion to it, just like anyone. The most powerful reason for my faith is the way that God has connected with me through my prayers. I have seen my prayers answered within a day, have been given strength beyond my own, and in many cases very literally protected by the Spirit. Only at these moments - and when I listen to the teachings of the prophets - have I felt that great swelling of emotion that the scriptures speak of. The emotion is stronger than anything else I've ever felt in my life - it is the witness of the Holy Ghost. I've also given great consideration to what the church teases, the programs it runs, and the messages it shares. It promotes nothing but the Atonement of Christ, the love of God, and our eternal heritage. It promotes peace and goodwill. Considering these things, as well as the ways I've watched it change people's lives and the blessings it has brought to me, I know that it is a church led by God.

How I live my faith

There are many things to keep a person busy, but the Gospel should have an effect on everything we do. One of the greatest things we can do is give service - it strengthens everyone and shares joy faster and further than anything else. I keep an eye out for service projects in my area, volunteer at the local food bank, and try to help people in any small way they need it.
