Hi I'm Michael Jeremy Budd

I grew up in Honduras, I live in Utah now, I will be serving a mission in Taiwan, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love music, I listen to it all the time, I also play the viola and I was in a ballroom team in High School for 2 years. I love dancing. I grew up in San Pedro Sula, Honduras. I love the culture and the many things I was able to learn there that I couldn't learn anywhere else. My favorite meal is the Baleada, which is from Honduras, it is the most delicious thing in this world that exists other than pizza. The LDS Church is amazing, I know for a fact that I would not be the person that I am without it, it has taught me so much and helped me with my difficulties throughout the years. One of the things that I love about the church is it teaches to love another, and to serve each other. For activities with the youth we would go and help clean people's houses, visit the sick or the lonely, or just go get some ice cream. One of the things I love to do is look up a lot of things in the internet that are science related. I love learning and seeing how technology is progressing, or reading an article of a new discovery outside in space. Our Heavenly Father has created so many things for us, millions of galaxies and stars that we could not count in a life time. The universe is so beautiful and magnificent, yet the Lord's love toward us is so much more, which proves our true worth. I strongly believe that every soul very precious, none of us are perfect, and all of us have made mistakes, but God still loves us for who we are, for we are more precious than anything else.

Why I am a Mormon

In the beginning I did not know for myself if the church was true or not, but eventually searching and seeking for answers. I have discovered for myself that it is, and my testimony never stops growing. Difficulty always comes and I stumble from time to time, but that is why it's so important for me to be humble and let the Lord guide me. I know that this church is true. I know that Joseph Smith was a true prophet of God, and I know that God lives, and I will do my best for Him. Everything that the gospel teaches is true and so complete, if anyone where to earnestly search if this is the true church, I know that they will find that this is not a false church, but it is the true Church of Christ, I know this for myself, and I pray that others may find the truth as well.

How I live my faith

Every morning, I say my prayer to start the day, and before I leave the house I try to read a message, so that I can start the day with the spirit. The most important thing that we must do through out our whole lives is to get a better understanding of the gospel. It's very simple, go to church, read your scriptures, and say your prayers. Obviously there is so much more that we should do, but as long as we do those 3 things, and you do them with real intent, everything else will follow. I know this because I have learned it myself. My life feels much more complete when I do those things. I am not perfect, I do forget to read my scriptures or say my prayers from time to time, but if we always strive to do better, and to follow Christ. Our lives with change for the better, no matter what position you are in. I try to read my scriptures everyday, and also trying to get in the habit of studying them more deeply, the more time I put on reading them, the more I learn. One important thing that I would like to emphasize about these things that we should do, shouldn't be seen as tasks to check off, but more of a way of living, a way to worship our God.

What is the Word of Wisdom that Mormons talk about?

Michael Jeremy Budd
Our bodies are sacred, God gave them to us as a gift. It is such a blessing for us to be given our bodies, so it has been commanded to us by God to respect our bodies, and to keep them as clean and healthy as we can. God has commanded not to partake of: Tobacco, Alcohol, Coffee and tea, and Illegal Drugs. These substances are harmful to our bodies, but that's not only why we should avoid using them, but it's really because God has commanded us not to, to be obedient. If we do follow this commandment, God will bless us with health both for our physical body and our spirit. We'll feel so much better if we do so, and we will feel at peace knowing that God is happy with us. Avoiding the use of these substances will also save us from addiction and many other symptoms that accompany the use of things. Show more Show less
