Hi I'm Marian

I have an MBA, and I love to travel, hike, bake, and read. I'm a wife, mother of three sons, a grandma to twins, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was born in Ottawa, Canada but moved to Utah when I was two. My father was an entomologist--he studied bugs! His research took us to live in Costa Rica and Venezuela for two years. I spent eighteen months in Italy for our church. I have also lived in Houston and Arizona. These travels gave me great opportunities to love people from many different places and to celebrate their cultures.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in a Mormon family. I have always believed in God. When I was fourteen, I decided that I needed to know how I felt about our faith. I studied the Book of Mormon for a year, reading every page. The Book of Mormon brought me peace, comfort, insights about my Savior, and guidance. I read it often as I raised our three children, and it helped me be a better mother. The Book of Mormon has continued to help me through the deaths of my parents and other loved ones. I love my family and want to be with them forever. I believe my LDS faith will bring that to me and my family.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by serving in my church working with the teenage girls in inner city Phoenix. I have gone to camp with them each summer for the last six years and have loved it. I try to follow the example of my Savior, Jesus Christ and treat others as I would like to be treated.
