Hi I'm Kaden J. Schaat

I'm a homegrown Idaho boy who loves to ride dirt-bikes, play the guitar, I love the outdoors, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a born and raised-in Idaho boy. I have quite the family. My parents were divorced when I was 7 and both have now been remarried. I am absolutely blessed with my family and how loving they are towards me. At my mom's house I have one older step-sister, me, a younger step-sister, then my biological brother and then another two-step brothers. Then at my dad's house It's me, then my biological brother, then two half-brothers. And I love all of them. I love sports, being outdoors, hunting, fishing, playing guitar, and riding dirt-bikes. I really enjoy mechanics, especially diesels. I really enjoy making others happy and seeing them laugh. I am currently serving a full-time mission in Scottsdale, Arizona. I have been so blessed in my life and I owe it all to the Lord. So, the least I can do is serve Him now.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I was born into it, but the reason I am still active and always will be, is because of the Atonement of Jesus Christ and His gospel. I am a Mormon because I did as Joseph Smith did when he read James 1:5, and I asked of God if these things, pertaining to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, are true. I received my answer "through the power of the Holy Ghost.." Moroni 10:5. This Gospel has brought me so much happiness, peace, and joy.

How I live my faith

I live my faith through example. My step dad always told me that "actions speak louder than words." I read out of my scriptures, both the Book of Mormon and the Bible. I partake of the sacrament every Sunday. I bare my testimony. I try my best to hep those in need when I can and I do my best to lose myself in service. There are many ways to live your faith but the best is to first have faith.

What is the Atonement of Jesus Christ? Why was it necessary for Jesus Christ to sacrifice His life?

Kaden J. Schaat
The Atonement of Jesus Christ was a lot of things. The Atonement contained Christ living a perfect life, so He could make ready His body to be bruised battered and broken for us. It contained His suffering in the Garden of Gethsemane. Something we all NEED to remember about this event is that Christ Himself CHOSE to suffer for us. Not forced. He CHOSE. What exactly did He suffer for? He suffered for the pains and afflictions of everyone who has come, who is come, and who is yet to come. He suffered for all the sins of everyone one. He suffered for everyone personally. Only Jesus Christ could do this for us. Doctrine and Covenants 19:16-17 has a powerful scripture about this act. Remember that Christ suffered alone so that we don't have to! It was necessary for Christ to sacrifice His life so we may all return to live with God again. He sacrificed His life to overcome the grave, and to bring about the resurrection of man. God has to follow all of His rules and the laws of Justice or else He would cease to be God. That's another reason Jesus Christ is so important. We all need mercy. Christ is the Mercy that meets Justice. Show more Show less
