Hi I'm Kennedy

I am a sunbeam teacher, future missionary and a Mormon.

About Me

I am a city girl who loves the outdoors. Take a short drive from my valley city and you'll find the mountains, rivers and reservoirs that I have grown up hiking, horse back ridding, kayaking and exploring through. The best time for any of these activities is in the fall when all the leaves change from green to vibrant reds, oranges, and yellows. In the city however I keep myself entertained by playing sports and doing service. I started playing softball when I was five and started pitching when I was seven. Now years later I have four high school varsity letters, three all region awards, one all valley award and still continue to coach young pitchers. My sophomore year of high school I helped start and continue to support the Kalemia foundation. This is a foundation that helps raise money for blind children's education and research. I also have served three years on my high school's student council. My favorite project was being on the aware to care committee my freshman year. This committee focused on making everyone with valued for their differences and eliminate bullying. In high school I also served as the DECA vice president and placed in the top three marketing students in the state for buying and selling merchandise. This provided me with the opportunity to compete internationally at the 2015 ICDC. Sense high school I have received a mission call to Dallas, Texas and enter the MTC shortly.

Why I am a Mormon

I can not pick a single moment were it all just made sense. I was born into a Mormon family and have gained a testimony in a rather slow and steady fashion but I can tell you this I have never felt abandoned by my heavenly father or my savior. They were there to comfort me when I lost a close team mate and friend and the young age of thirteen. I felt their comforting embrace when my dad went in for his first brain surgery and because of this I do not fear the future. I know it wont be easy. Trust me, we have brain surgery number two coming up but I know all things are possible through Christ

How I live my faith

I believe the best way to live your faith is to reach out the others. Even the people you think have it all together can use a helping hand. I like to reach out in differing way such as leaving anonymous cards and cookies on friends porches or teaching sunbeams each week.

How can we come to know our Father in Heaven?

Kennedy
For me personally I've come to know my Father in Heaven best by showing gratitude. When I thank my Father in prayer for simple things such as a rose and ponder why he spent so much time to create something so simple for my enjoyment it really helps me understand his character and love for me a little bit deeper.
